Change VLAN ports quickly
Hello,
We need to set up an HPE 5130-24G-PoE + -4SFP + (370W) EI JG936A switch in a training room.
We have prepared the switch with the necessary vlans for this room.
The switch has a trunk port with useful vlans, the other ports used to connect computers to the network are in the building's computer vlan.
And it is brought to us depending on the training, to change the ports of the vlan switch.
Our idea was to put the HPE switch in basic mode, that is to say that a vlan arrives on the trunk port and all the ports are in this vlan. But that doesn't seem possible.
So, as an alternative, we have:
- Create a configuration file where the switch ports are in a VLAN. You just have to tell the switch to load a file when starting and restarting the switch.
Is there another solution?

Re: Change VLAN ports quickly
Hi @DSI-SRT !
To be honest it's hard to understand what exactly you want to achieve, not because you didn't explain it well, but more because it sounds quite non-standard demand to a switch. But there is a feature called MVRP. Maybe it is what you are looking for? Check the guide here https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=a00017775en_us , "Configuring MVRP" section.
Another solution to consider is Automatic configuration, check this guide - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=a00017770en_us This will push the configuration file to the switch on its bootup.
EDIT: Another idea - what about using NETCONF and reconfigure the switch from a pre-defined templates? Also, Comware 7 supports Python, just FYI.
