Connecting 2 switches together
I have a J8164A and a J9087A and I need to connect them together because I've run out of ports on the J8164A.

Re: Connecting 2 switches together
And.. What's the problem to connect'em?. Connect an ethernet cable between both switches and that's all. Preferably connect the switches through Giga-Ports (25-26).
Anyway.... Do you have vlans on J8164A's Switch? If the answer is YES... Configure the same vlans on the new switch.
If you wanna... post here the J8164A's configuration and we can configure the new switch in a easily way.
Greetings....

Re: Connecting 2 switches together
There are no VLANs. So it is as simple as just connecting an ethernet cable from one switch to the other?

Re: Connecting 2 switches together
Hi Eldab (again),
Yeap it's simple just connecting an ethernet cable. If you don't have VLANs the Switchs are transparent. So... no problems :)
I recommend you to connect'em on ports 25-26 'cause are the GIGA-Ports.
Greetings....
