Linking 2 Aruba 2930F fibre DHCP query

Hello!

I apologies in advance I'm quiet new to networking so I just wanted to know if someone can help me on my problem.

I have two arubas linked together via the fibre cable which then 1 of them goes off via another firbe cable to the main core HP switch, All seems fine except if I plug in a wifi AP into the second aruba switch. Any wifi devices connected does not seem to be able to get an IP from the DHCP. But if i plug the AP into the main aruba switch it works fine.

Ive done some digging but im not sure if the issue is that the fibre connecting the two together needs to be in trunk? a PC connected on the second switch seems to work fine and get a DHCP, also an untagged CCTV works as well. Just the wifi AP.

Sorry I hope everything makes sense.diagram.png

Hello,

Which device is 'WiFi'?

Can you try to untagged the port which is connecting to WiFi?

Thanks!

Hi akg7,

Thanks for replying!

Sorry I have just managed to find the fault. I swapped the fibre module out for a new one and it worked.
