Stacking for HP 2930F
Hello,
Appreciate your support to know the bandwith for J9735A stacking cable and what is the different if i use it for stacking six of 2930F switches (Ring Topology) vs using VSF with 10GB ports.
Thank you

Re: Stacking for HP 2930F
Hello,
The 2930F series only supports VSF or front plane stacking using standard Ethernet interfaces . They dont support backplane stacking using the special purpose stacking module and stacking cables like J9735A .
The stacking module and cables can only be used with the 2930M series. So you dont have a choise of stacking technologies for the 2930 series, it is either VSF for the F models or backplane stacking for the M models.
The data sheet of the 2930M series provides information about the bandwidth of the stacking cables and module on page 2.

Stacking Topology
- High Performance stacking—up to 100 Gbps of stacking
throughput per switch. Each 2-port stacking module can
support up to 25 Gbps in each direction per port.
