VLAN switching on HPE 1920 JL385A

Dear all,

We got the installation with about 15 units of HPE 1920 JL385A with multiple vlan on it.

question : is it possible to implement vlan switching on this switchs ?

schenario:

switch ---------- ip phone ---------- pc

so we need ip phone and pc sit on different vlan; such as ip phone vlan 11 and pc on vlan 21

if possible, please ack the way how to do it.

i did read the manual and still cannot find the clue how to accomplish my scenario

Hi @Paul,

Please refer below snapshot as per your request:

1. Create VLAN for Phone: VLAN11 and for PC: VLAN21.

2. Enable Voice VLAN on a port: Suppose enable voice vlan 11 on a port and make it tagged.
Go to VLAN-->Port Membership, select the voice vlan 11 from the drop down box and select the port 9 and click edit button.

3. Enable Data VLAN on a port. Now enable the data vlan on a port and make in untagged.
Go to VLAN-->Port Membership, select the data vlan 21 from the drop down box and select the port 9 and click edit button.

4. Verify VLAN assignments.

Go to VLAN-->Port Configuration and make sure correct that the port 9 hasd the correct VLAN.
VLAN 21 untagged and VLAN 11 tagged.

5. Configure Auto Voice VLAN.
VLAN-->Auto Voice VLAN menu and set the Voice VLAN Admin Mode to Enabled

6. Verification

Now save configurationand conenct port 9 to an IP phone and PC to the port from IP phone.

hi akg7,

i has not an opportunity to try it yet as the client decide to change the schenario, so the phone and the pc / notebook will connected from different ports. thus we have no unit to test on lab. i will inform you as soon as we have an opportunity to try it again.
