Are there any issues to be concerned with regarding backups (backup to tape using Netbackup) of a Linux server using Serviceguard? Any documents I should refer to?

In general there should be no problems, but a word of caution here.
If you have only one heartbeat network, and the Netbackup is done down that network, it could result in delayed heartbeats which could give you unsolicited cluster reforms, or worse a node will TOC.

Re: Backup issues with Serviceguard for Linux
Shalom Bob,
besides the heartbeat issues, check out your monitor scripts carefully. If the database is brought down for a cold backup, the monitor could try and restart it, making the backup useless.
I recommend a private lan for heartbeat so netbackup can't interfere with heartbeat.
