How to Extend LVM Partition?

Hello,
I used Clonezilla to create an image from a 146GB SAS drive and restored it to a 300GB SAS drive. I would like to expand the partition to fill the 300GB drive. Because gparted doesn't support LVM, i've been trying to make a go with the lvm tools but can't figure out the magic incantation. Can someone help? Thx.

Re: How to Extend LVM Partition?

How about create one more image file to fill up the disk. Assign the new image file as a new PV and add it to the existing VG. Then your VG will get more free PV, for you to do lvextend or new LV.

Re: How to Extend LVM Partition?

A partition is something that sits below LVM.

Try these two steps:
1) expand the partition with fdisk or parted
2) then do a 'pvresize /dev/block/104:2'
