Installation LINUX on DL380G5 server

Hi ,

i need to install LINUX redhat on a DL380 G5 server ,
did i need a driver to install before i use the smart start to recognise the smartarray ,

I work with these servers a lot.

There is usually no need to even use smartstart on these systems. At boot there is a prompt to get into bios and that can configure most arrays.

Smartstart will let you do some other good things including making sure bios/firmware is up to date.

The system is shipped redhat ready. Certain disk arrays will require smartstart configuration.
