Installing hp_fibreutils on Linux(intel) server

Folks,

I am HP-UX and Sun Solaris guy and I have no idea about Linux. I have allocated storage on EVA 5000 and I am asked to configure the host side. We have Qlogic HBAs.

Can someone tell me how to install the hp_fibreutils?

Thanks,
Subhas

Download the driver package from HP's web page and run the INSTAL script - it will automatically install the utilities.

Re: Installing hp_fibreutils on Linux(intel) server

Uwe and Alessandro,

Thanks for the replies.

I have downloaded fibreutils-1.9.0-2.linux.i386.rpm to my laptop and ftp to the server. How do I install the software? Do I need to unpack it? How? Where do I find the INSTALL script?

Thanks,
Subhas
