senmail and webaccess

Dears

I want to know if there is a way to make sendmail server to be accessed from the web i.e webmail , is it builtin in hp-ux featur and i have to enable it and using apache , or i have to buy another module for web enabling

sendmail is the MTA. i am not 100% sure what you ask, but is is something similar to what microsoft do with web access to their excahnge server?

if so, then there is some webhosting software that will allow you to do this?

sendmail is just an MTA, you'll need an IMAP server to set this up for "webmail".

I'd also suggest checking out http://www.squirrelmail.org

This is free "webmail" software. You'll need to have php configured w/ your apache web server. It's easy to setup and use, plus the source is free.

I've got it running on a box w/ hpux 11i and apache+php installed.

You can download the source for an IMAP server from the University of Washington's website. Here's a link;
