HPE Telco User Forums: Talking with customers to share the future together
In the telco industry, success in digital transformation relies on strong and continuous linkages between vendors and customers. The HPE Telco User Forums are events designed for existing HPE customers in this industry aimed at maintaining a constant, two-way communication flow, both in collecting customer feedback on existing products and sharing experiences and best practices on their implementations.
HPE held our Operations Support Systems (OSS) and Telecom Analytics & Fraud management (TAF) forums in the Cote d’Azur, on June 18-20. Over 40 people from various customers around the globe were present coming from each of the 5 continents.
Amongst them, some introduced their strategic views on these subjects, as well as the evolutionary steps needed to tackle the coming of 5G. The latter was discussed in a special panel which included speakers from customers, partners, industry analysts and HPE subject matter experts. The event also included live demos of several new HPE technologies.
Feedback from attendees was outstanding with the overall average rating for the event sitting above 4.50 on a 1-5 rating scale. Comments included “I'd like to congratulate HPE on the great event that you delivered us. The discussions were very rich and it brought important information and experiences.” and “Open and very interactive sessions. Perfect mix between HPE and customer content. Good opportunity for networking and open discussions.”
The event also showcased two of our key partners in the telco industry:
- Intel - whose infrastructure technologies are able to match the scalability, resilience and efficiency needed for 5G deployments.
- VMware - whose technologies are essential components in bridging the gap between traditional and “Telco network” IT.
A big thank you to Intel and VMware for sponsoring this key event.

About Intel:
5G ready networks - The era of 5G-powered experiences starts today with Intel® technologies.
Transitioning to open and programmable “cloud-optimized” networks is necessary to handle the diverse, data-intensive 5G workloads and performance demands of the future. That’s why Intel is unique in the industry for its ability to provide solutions purpose-built to meet the multi-faceted challenges, performance and programmability demands for each of these areas. All built upon the foundation of decades of investments in fostering hardware, software and security ecosystems to maximize application performance and reduce the complexity of customer deployments. With proven leadership, massive footprint across cloud and data center, and a rich technology portfolio spanning wireless, wireline, computing and cloud, Intel is the right strategic partner to help communications service providers (CoSPs) drive powerful infrastructure-wide transformation to increase velocity and adaptability in the face of change.
About VMware:
VMware software powers the world’s complex digital infrastructure. The company’s compute, cloud, mobility, networking and security offerings provide a dynamic and efficient digital foundation to over 500,000 customers globally, aided by an ecosystem of 75,000 partners. Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, this year VMware celebrates twenty years of breakthrough innovation benefiting business and society.
