Introducing HPE CloudPhysics Plus

Accelerate your hybrid cloud modernization journey with a free assessment

Getting to hybrid cloud by design

Modernizing your on-premises compute and storage infrastructure can save you money, increase IT responsiveness, and lead to more efficient and effective hybrid cloud—all at the same time. But how do you get started?

The first step is understanding what you have today. Once you know what you have in terms of infrastructure resources across your hybrid cloud landscape, you are in a good position to do what-if analysis to see what benefits you can achieve by modernizing one or more aspects of your current infrastructure.

Free hybrid cloud assessment services

To help organizations begin their modernization journey, Hewlett Packard Enterprise has created HPE CloudPhysics and HPE CloudPhysics Plus. These solutions enable a free service that can be carried out by HPE or any of its partners, giving you greater flexibility in choosing who you want to work with as you start your journey towards modernizing your hybrid cloud infrastructure.

HPE CloudPhysics and HPE CloudPhysics Plus provide you and your organization with insights across the critical aspects of your hybrid cloud infrastructure. These solutions provide you a comprehensive inventory and associated key metrics for your compute and storage estate, as well as the same for the virtual machines (VMs) that are deployed onto that infrastructure.

By having a complete view of the workloads you are running and where you are running them, you are in a great position to make informed decisions around the best opportunities you have to optimize cost and performance through modernization of your on-premises compute and storage infrastructure.

Choose your own path to modernization

 On-premises compute assessment

It provides the analytics necessary to assist with planning a general refresh of your data center. It includes server inventory, including metrics on CPUs, hardware form factors, memory, storage, and I/O capability.

On-premises storage assessment

It provides an inventory, including capacity and performance metrics for shared storage and local storage, and identifies the underlying hardware used for virtual storage.

On-premises virtualization assessment

It provides an inventory of VMware VMs, hosts, and data stores. It reports whether any of your physical servers are not on the VMware hardware compatibility list or are unsupported by the current VMware ESXi version.

What-if scenarios planning

HPE and its partners are experts in helping you identify the greatest opportunities for decreasing your operational costs by leveraging more efficient compute and storage options that use less energy, require less data center space, and provide greater capacity and performance than your existing infrastructure.

Supported scenario analysis includes the following.

Server refresh

Assess your existing fleet of HPE ProLiant Gen9, HPE ProLiant Gen10, and HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers to identify candidates to refresh to new HPE ProLiant Gen12 servers. HPE ProLiant Gen12 servers can boost performance for complex workloads while driving down power usage over previous generations of server technology.

Storage refresh

Assess your existing fleet of HPE storage arrays to identify candidates to refresh to new HPE Alletra Storage MP options. HPE Alletra Storage MP enables customers to seamlessly run any app without compromise from edge to cloud with a cloud experience for every workload.

VMware migration

Assess your use of VMware vSphere to identify opportunities to migrate to HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software. Migrating appropriate workloads to VM Essentials is a great way to reduce licensing costs associated with VMware’s premium pricing strategy.
