關於ntp

我的機器剛裝好,也還沒設定ntp,為什麼下完rdate -v之後卻發現有network time....請問這是去哪裡抓到的網路時間

我的主機hostname is tru64

# rdate -v

Hello Joey,



"ntp" 和 "rdate" 兩種 services 是完全不相關. "rdate" 的結果是由 "time" (forked by inetd)所得到的. See



# grep time /etc/inetd.conf

time dgram udp wait root internal time

# grep time /etc/services

time 37/tcp timserver

time 37/udp timserver

#



The "rdate -v" sends a broadcast datagram packet on the same sub-network for getting the time values returned by all responding hosts and the average network time as you saw.
