eager and lazy mode

請問我在什麼狀況選該選擇哪一種對我比較有利

例如

我的系統有oracle

SGA 共用了3G

memory 4G,swap 8G

在啟動 ORACLE DB 後, 如仍有足夠的 "free physical memory" (over 20K/page = 160MB)則以選擇 lazy mode 為佳(減少 IO overhead).

若是 "free physical memory" 太少而經常發生 "SWAPPING", 使用 swap space (See "swapon -s")一則影響 DB performance, 當然建議使用 default eager mode.



PS: SGA 共用了3G within the total memory 4G 似乎過大一些. 同時使用 eager mode 建議 swap 為 4G*3=12GB.
