Port forwarding on 3040 ADSL Router
Hi All,
Just installed a 3Com 3040 dsl router for the first time. Used to use only Cisco. Everything went very smoothly until i tried to forward a bunch of ports to the server.
From all the config documents that i could find it seems as though the nat statement requires a static IP.
I, however have a ADSL connection with a dynamic IP address.
Any pointers to get around this would be most appreciated.
Below is an example of the config that i have found in the documention. The problem is the "global" IP address.
This is the IP of the external interface obviously' which in my case is dynamic.
nat server protocol tcp global 202.38.160.100 inside 10.110.10.1 ftp
That is pretty much the command that i am lloking for, just need to replace the "global".
Thanks in advance for taking the time to look at this.
Cheers,
Paul
