Hi
We have two 1920 48G (JG927A) switches several floors apart and we want to link them using 10Gb fibre.
Can someone confirm whether module FEJ9150A will work out our JG927A switches?
Olly

SolutionHPE OfficeConnect 1920 Switch Series [*] doesn't support any SFP+ Transceivers, this means that no 10Gbps links are natively possible with this Switch Series (neither via copper nor via fiber optic SFP+ Transceivers), only SFP Transceivers are admitted (See latest QuickSpecs to understand which exact ones are supported).
Move to HPE OfficeConnect 1950 Switch Series: it supports 10GBASE-T RJ45 or SFP+ Transceivers.
[*] HPE OfficeConnect 1920 Switch Series is Comware 5.20 operating system based: so ask the Networking Forum Moderator to move this entire thread from "ProCurve / ProVision-Based" section to the proper "Comware-Based" section.

Re: 10GB Fibre Module on 1920 48G
Thanks
So the 1920 switches only accept SPF (non +) modules, so *any* HP SFP (non +) module will work?

Exactly, HPE OfficeConnect 1920 Switch Series accepts SFP not SFP+.
Regarding the "any": it's impossible to provide an answer like "Yes, any"...the only sure thing here is that genuine HPE SFP Transceivers listed on HPE OfficeConnect 1920 Switch Serie's QuickSpecs are de-facto the only ones supported (and granted working correctly) by HPE. Nobody knows if any other SFP will work correctly (or if it will be recognized at first by the Switch itself) once inserted.
If you want to be sure go with those (HPE genuine) listed on HPE 1920 QuickSpecs.

Re: 10GB Fibre Module on 1920 48G
I've successfully used any SFP module for J4858C, Brute Networks, Axiom & Bocade manufacture.
Hope that helps!
