connect 1810g to unmanaged switch - no connectivity

connect 1810g to unmanaged switch - no connectivity

when I connect my 1810g-24 switch to an unmanaged (no-name) switch, I get connectivity only until I connect the second device to the unmanaged switch. At this point all connectivity is lost. Any ideas?
