Does the v1910-24G need reboot to change the ip?

I recently bought two v1910-24G, I am having an issue when logging into the web interface after changing the ip address of the router.

The situation was the following:

  • Switch using public range (i.e. 123.123.123.123/24)
  • Changed the ip to 192.168.1.123/24 fro the serial console
  • I can ping the ip address, and telnet the port 80, but I don't have access
  • I can no longer login via web interface, on serial everything is working ok

Is this a known issue? Rebooting the switch is quite slow, and I'd rather not schedule a downtime just to change the ip.

I am on the current firmware version.

Another idea I've tried is to check for suspicious ACLs or similar in the command line interface, or if there is any method to restart the webservice for the router.

So far the best documentation on CLI mode is this one (http://glazenbakje.wordpress.com/2012/08/21/hp-v1910-secret-commando-list-how-to-enable-it/), but doesn't list any method for doing what I intend.

At the end waiting 24h was enough to get my access back. Not what I expected for a medium range switch, but it worked at the end.
