HP 1910 JG539A POE 24 boot file does not exist

Hi guys ,

My switch doesnt boot up.

I found this topic

https://community.hpe.com/t5/Web-and-Unmanaged/Hp1910-24-specified-boot-file-does-not-exist/m-p/7112158#M4912

But the firmware is no where to be found .

I successfully uploaded a newer one but at the next boot the error was shown again ....

Any idea where I can obtain the exact firmware ?

Hello @Eli85 ,

What was the running software in the device?

What is the eror you are getting?

Here is the link to get software:

Thanks!

Re: HP 1910 JG539A POE 24 boot file does not exist

Hi @akg7

I dont know the original firmware .... I have attached the error .

I have installed 1910-24-POE-JG539A_5.20.R1119 . I had assign ip address (via CLI) and even connected via http.

Very odd... It seems like no user or password is configured   ....... on a normal other switch the user name is admin and blank password as default ....

One more issue , my extended boot menu is quiet diffrent than any other aticle on the internet ....

Thank you

Re: HP 1910 JG539A POE 24 boot file does not exist

Hello @Eli85 ,

Are you getting boot menu like in below link:

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c04349201

I believe you are entering into 'Download application file to flash' option however software file is not available in flash.

Can you try to transfer file via XModem:

Please refer relase notes from below link:

Thanks!

Re: HP 1910 JG539A POE 24 boot file does not exist

Hi @akg7

First , thank you so much !

I have successfully updated the firmware via cli & xmodem protocol .

However , the cli is not asking for any login username or password !!! Http same issue ....cant login via browser .

I used always the default HP = user "admin" and blank password ....

Any idea ?

Re: HP 1910 JG539A POE 24 boot file does not exist

Hi @akg7 akg

Wonderful news !!!

I found the solution for the user and password issue .

First I had enble CLI mode using  _cmdline-mode on , password 512900 and than system-view commands.

Second I had disable "password recovery capability" by using undo password-recoveryenable command .

Third I had log into extended boot menu by typing Cnrl+B before the main appliaction is booting .

Than pressed 5 "Restore factory default".

Bingo ! Http is avilible (By using defaults)  !!!

Thanks!
