HP 1910 trunking VLANs to 1810
So here is my end goal, two switches connected via two Ethernet links for bandwidth increase/redundancy and communicate on a PC connected at each end on VLAN 100 (with future VLANs being created)
I have the following:
HP 1910 - 48g L3 Switch, Management IP 192.168.10.254, SM 255.255.255.0 GW 0.0.0.0
VLAN 100 Created w/ vInterface assigned 192.168.0.254
Port 1 Untagged VLAN 100
Port2 Untagged VLAN1 (default)
Ports 47/48
Dynamic LACP group, Trunk enabled (not sure if I need Hybrid, doesn’t fix my issue?) Tagged VLANs 1,100
HP 1810 - 48g L2 Switch, Management IP 192.168.10.253, SM 255.255.255.0 GW 0.0.0.0
Port 1 Untagged VLAN 100
Port2 Untagged VLAN1 (default)
Ports 47/48
Trunk1 created, members ports 47/48. Static Capability is turned OFF, (unable to tag Trunk ports)
PC1 IP 192.168.0.5 SM 255.255.255.0 GW n/a
PC2 IP 192.168.0.6 SM 255.255.255.0 GW n/a
When I connect PC1 & PC2 to Port 2 on each switch and assign the IP subnet 192.168.10.x of the default VLAN 1 I can cross communicate with no issues
When I change my IP to the VLAN 100 subnet 192.168.0.x and connect to Port 1 on each switch (VLAN 100 untagged) I cannot communicate
I am really stumped here, any help? Seems like my VLANs are not communicating across switches. I verified I could communicate with both machines on the same VLAN 100 on the same switch.
