HP ProCurve 1810G-24 - some problems with SNMP
Here is HP ProCurve 1810G-24 with two latest firmware - 1.6 and 1.8. After a quick test found:
1) SNMP is impossible to turn off (for 1800G it was possible).
2) You can't change community name as was for 1800G - it may be only default 'public' string.
3) Very slow SNMP answer if you read large table (~600-700 variables). The first few variables are read quickly but more answers are getting slower and slower until the timeout. 1800 works well with the same sizes of table.
4)Explicit error - in reply to dot1dTpFdbStatus you get incorrect status: 1(other) instead correct 3(learned) for learned MAC's.
P.S. This thread has been moved from Switches, Hubs, Modems (Legacy ITRC forum) to Web and Unmanaged. -HP Forum Moderator

"Very slow SNMP answer if you read large table (~600-700 variables). The first few variables are read quickly but more answers are getting slower and slower until the timeout".
Firmware v1.6, 1.8 and last 1.14.
I ask the Support service to solve the given problem.

Yes, I can confirm this. But for me a lot worse that v1.16 has not solved the problem with disappearing management interface.

Good news. You do not know when the v1.18 will be available publicly?
