HPE OfficeConnect 1950-24G-2SFP+-2XGT - reboot / reload from CLI ?
I recently got a couple of HPE 1950's placed on my desk - traditionally I have worked from the CLI for switching products.
I had not worked with these switches before, and I must say, they are quite different to what I am used to.
For instance, the requirement to use xtd-cli-mode to then, be able to enter system-view was quite odd to me.
My primary issue now though is, how do I reboot / reload from the CLI?
It is clearly possible in from the Web UI, but there are no familiar commands in the CLI relating to rebooting the switch. In the user manual I have found online, there is however reference to a reboot command, which seems unavailable on my switch?
I had also checked for the latest firmware for these switches, but couldn't find anything.
For reference, here is my display version:

Any and all information would be appreciated - I am trying to document this hardware, and I am awstruck by how difficult HP has made it to manage these switches via CLI.....

Start here.

Really reboot CLI command (on system-view) doesn't exist?
P.S. HPE OfficeConnect 1950 Switch series, despite the Comware 7 under the hood, is basically different from other Comware 7 (and 5 too) series...basically because it has (or it should have) a Web Management interface that let you fully configure the device from A to Z (I doubts that: IRF for example is called "stacking" where on all other Comware based switches IRF is simply IRF, sic et simpliciter...there should be no need to hide or obfuscate)...the CLI shell should not be used (as happens/happened for lower end HPE OfficeConnect 1920 Switch series)...or, better, the idea is that user should not use the CLI at all.

Re: HPE OfficeConnect 1950-24G-2SFP+-2XGT - reboot / reload from CLI ?
Well, I attempted to configure IRF from the WebUI, and failed.
I configured IRF from the CLI, and it worked the first time.
Surely there is a way to reboot these devices from the CLI?
Anyone?
Thanks,
Brad

I think the reboot command is only available in CLI when you go out of system-view.

I have already run xtd-cli-mode, and then following that, system-view; there is still no reboot command available.
That is why I am posting.

Re: HPE OfficeConnect 1950-24G-2SFP+-2XGT - reboot / reload from CLI ?
That's pretty strange IMO. Once you log in with admin credential you should see these list of possible commands (with ?):
<HPE>? User view commands: display Display current system information initialize Delete the startup configuration file and reboot system ipsetup Configure an IP address for VLAN-interface 1 password Specify password of local user ping Ping function poe Power over Ethernet quit Exit from current command view reboot Reboot operation summary Display summary information of the device telnet Establish a telnet connection transceiver Enable transceiver phony alarm undo Cancel current setting upgrade Upgrade the system boot file or the Boot ROM program xtd-cli-mode Switch to extended CLI mode to display and execute all commands (special authorization required)
As you see, reboot is (or it should be) available; in extended CLI mode (xtd-cli-mode) the reboot command should be available too.
Which software version is your switch running on?

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience.
I did include my version in the OP.
