J4858B mini-GBIC in V1900-8G Switch
We have a bunch of unused 1G SX mini-GBIC's and wouldn't mind using them in the V1900-8G switch. The online configurator doesn't allow me to select the old GBIC's, just the new X124 SFP's, so I'm wondering is this not possible?

Re: J4858B mini-GBIC in V1900-8G Switch
The HP V1900-8G (JD865A) was formerly sold as 3Com OfficeConnect Managed Gigabit Switch 8 (3CGSU08A), according to the product page the x124 and x120 are the 2 SPF's offered as accessories.
The J4858B is a ProCurve branded product, most likely this will work, but if it's a supported config? I don't think so.
My advise would be to contact support to be 100% sure that you don't void your warranty
