Ling Aggregation and LACP for HP 1920 and HP 1920s

Hi,

Im trying to configure link aggregation in order to join two 1Gbps port and get 2Gbps for uplink between an HP 1920 and an HP 1920s.

In the old HP 1920 swiches i was doing that with static link aggregation and LACP. Now with the new HP 1920s i cannot find the way to do that. I cannot find link aggreation and as i can see LACP is enabled by default on every port. I  tryed also to use Trunk but is not working properly.

I also had this problem.  The solution is actually quite simple.

Go to Trunks and add your ports to the trunk.  Change Static Mode to disabled.  This will in turn enable LACP dynamic.

i have the same probleme: impossible to activate lacp in the trunk

To solve that I have tried to hupgrade the firmware to 1.06 but that does not solve the probleme

for exemple I want to configure a trunk with port 3 and 4

port 3 & 4 configuration

admin mode enable

spt mode disable

lacp mode enable ( but it 's the same with disable)

link trap enable

mtu 1500

TRUNK 3-4

admin mode enable

stp disable impossible to change

static mode disable

blance IP and tcp/udp source/destination

ports selected in menbers

admin -> enable

physical mode -> LAG ( no change possible)

LACP -> Disable ( no change possible)

link trap -> disable

MTU 1500

I tried a lot of config but don't find solution. I spend hours and i think that you are my last solution. Usually  I buy cheap switch and configuration take 5 minutes ....

Hi,

On 1920 not S, you must change port to Hybrid and it work.

You could also change automatically to Hybrid by tagging a vlan on the BAGGx

On 1920S default settings just select in TRKx "Dynamic"

isn't there a step for step guide for this? I wanted to connect two identical 1920s via the two SFP+ ports with LA. 

But as soon as i apply the trunk there is no connection between the two switches anymore.

I would like to do the same, link aggregation between 1920 and 1920s it's hard to make it. Where are you HP?
