ProCurve 1800-24G Reset
I've got two HP ProCurve 1800-24G switches which were removed from an installation and was hoping to reuse but it seems that they may be affected by the (rather significant!) bug detailed here - http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c01752898-2
System — Looping ports 1 and 2 fails to do a factory reset when management VLAN is not set to its default of 1.
If this problem is encountered, then the only way to address this is to replace/exchange the switch.
As these switches are long out of warranty is there any way of resetting these internally ? e.g. with a jumper on the board?
Seems wasteful to scrap two perfectly good managed switches just because of HP's buggy software :(

Re: ProCurve 1800-24G Reset
Do you not know that password for the switches, is that the problem?

Re: ProCurve 1800-24G Reset
They should have a lifetime warranty. Give support a call.
