2nd processr not seen by Win2003 Web Ed on 1850r
I just completed a fresh install of Windows 2003 Web Edition on to a Proliant 1850r and it is not seeing the second processor. The proliant is up-to-date on all ROM's as far as I can tell. I have three of this exact same platform, two 600 mhz, 1gb of Kingston RAM, same SCSI controllers, same drives, same Lights Out boards, same everything, and the others seem to be wroking OK .... even though the others are running the the same OS. This is our first and only Win2003 machine. So, I am think that it is the the OS that must be investigated further.
Has any one seen this before? How to get the second processor working? I ahve read a tiny bit on this and the HAL that Windows uses to recognize the platform it is on & I must admit it scares the bejesus out of me to think about mesing with it. Maybe I ought not be so scared, maybe it is not so bad, I dont kow, I just know that if something goes wrong, I'm reinstalling. Any and all advice is very much appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: 2nd processr not seen by Win2003 Web Ed on 1850r
Microsoft just pointed me at this URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/evaluation/sysreqs/default.mspx
which, at the very bootom, refers to this URL:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;319091
so, I checked my processors details but they are different from what is on that URL. Mine shows as:
x86 Family 6 Model 7 Stepping 3 GenuineIntel
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Jason

Jason:
According to this: ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/os-support-matrix-310.pdf
that configuration is not supported.

Jason:
If you're determined to keep trying, I would apply all the latest stuff from the Windows 2000 link: http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/20_1115.html
