BMC systm event log is full

BMC systm event log is full in itanium server hp rx 2660 series. how to clear the logs and i'm unable to login. System shows lsass.exe error.Please help.

Press Ctrl/B to drop to the
MP> prompt
At the MP> prompt,
enter SL (from the main menu) and
use the C option to clear the log.

The ".exe" error seems to be a windows/application error..

Anyways clear the event logs by using

MP> as suggested by Kapil..

I'm using Windows 2003 64bit enterprise edition.

post the query in the correct forum so you get a proper response.
it appears that your windows event log is full, maybe you can goto to safemode and clear the events..

I can't even login to Safe mode.A window is open showing lsass.exe error, Security account manager failed to initialize because the system cannot find the specified file. Error 0xc0000034. Press ok to shutdown and reboot in safemode.I can't even go to the bios.

I tried to repair also, but i'm not able to boot from cd/dvd,its coming

I downloaded the hot fix, but to install i wanna login, atleast in safemode, which is not happening

this error does not relate to the error you are getting.
this should be a dvd or the dvd drive error

i have checked the drive and used another usb drive also, still its not booting from the cd.
Does the itanium based server needs itanium based installation CD ?

yes it has to be itanium dvd

I searched in MS site , but i cant find any link to download the installation media, only service packs are available in the site, will you please provide the link, if available

I'm unable to find that cd, anyhow I got the media, but now the problem is product key, that too is misplaced/lost, can u provide a valid key just to start my operations, say to take the full backup

The MSFT site used to have a w2k3 EE evaluation (180 days) cd image available for download, now i only see one for w2k8 r2, Windows 2003 is no longer sold anyhow, it goes into extended support in July.

Windows 2008 R2 is also supported on your RX2660 server.



Have a look around on the site, maybe the one for w2k3 is still available.
btw, You should never ask people in a forum for license keys really ....

I am also getting same following error:

Warning (10) BMC System log is full

I tried to clear BMC log through EFI shell by using following command:

"default clear bmc"

It give me error to login into service mode, I change the mode using following command:


"sysmode service"

Then I again tried the above command then its give an error to login with manufacturing mode, I tried following command:

"sysmode mfg"

Then its give me an message with Lockword like 0934FFJDF34SDFDT3434 and ask for password, when I did some research I found that the Lockword can be decode using SSKEY tool which only HP authorized personal may have and now I got stuck as EFI send intrupt to Windows Server IA64 2003 and Windows also not starting in normal mode but in safemode and I think the above person also facing same problem, Please suggest me simple and brief solution to getrid from this as I didnt invest thousands of dollars just to see these error messages.
