cannot install lj 1320 printer driver - win 2003

i am attempting to install the printer driver for an hp lj 1320 on a system running win 2003 server.

i have disabled the antivirus utility. also, i am going through control panel - add/remove programs - add new programs.

all that happens when i run the hpsetup utility is i get to a box that says "preparing to install". eventually i get a message that says... "install server not responding".

how do i install this printer??

i do not believe there problem with the driver version.

i tried the driver on the cd, as well as the driver i downloaded from hp. both gave the same results...

i am thinking either windows is corrupt. or the security setting are cranked up too high for my needs.

When I download the PCL5e driver and unzip it, there is no HPsetup utility. I just go to ADD PRINTER and it installs fine (on WINXP).

If all else fails, try using the generic windows HP Laserjet 4 driver...
