Control Fan speed on DL145
Hi There,
I would like to know how to control the fan speed on the DL145 (G1). the fans scream the whole time even with very little load on the server. If any one can help us out it would be much appreciated.

Re: Control Fan speed on DL145
AMD has something called Cool'n'Quiet
http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_9706,00.html
This works for PC's, regulating down the cpu fan speed substantially if the cpu is under light load and temperature of the cpu is low.
Not sure if it's supported for servers though... but worth a try if you have a downtime window..
Of course if the environment temperature (in the room and inside the cabinet) is too high, then this will not help...
Cheers,
Rune
