Corporate antispam
we now evaluate corporate antispam software
(currently we don't have antispam at all).
We started from Symantec Brightmail evaluation and we feel a little disappointed from this product: very large number of false positive, about 15 % of not catched spam, problems/bugs with quarantine.
Next we plan to evaluate Commtouch and Trend SPS.
We are looking for any opinions about these antispam products. If you use another corporate antispam and you satisfied - please write too.
Any reviews of corporate antispam products will be welcome too.
P.S. our mail servers don't have connection to LDAP , so LDAP integration is not issue.
Thanks.

Re: Corporate antispam
We are also very concerned about spam prevention on my network. We are using Brightmail with good results. Spam prevention is not my reponsibility, so I can't give you many hands-on details. We evaluated Brightmail for at least 6 months before rolling it out university-wide.
Brightmail was a good choice for us, because we use SAV-CE v10.
Users get a couple spam emails daily. We encourage them to forward these to our missedspam emailbox. The problem is, these spams that are undetected at the gateway, have always-new senders and subject lines, and they come from various IP addresses. Not easy to trap. No commonly-used key words.

Re: Corporate antispam
We use products from GFI, also view of our clients uses them. We have a combination of GFI MailEssentials (spam, phishing etc) and GFI MailSecurity (virus and trojan protectio) The software works great we had less then 1% false messges and that was in the beginning.
A client recieved about 10.000 spam mails a day, now I do not hear them complain of any, so not many or none get past it.
GFI also has some other products that could be quite interesting, have a look here:
http://www.gfi.com/pages/prodinfo.htm
You can download and try the software for a trial period so you can see what it does.
Have a nice day,
Regards, Ronald
