Deleting and Re-adding
Dear Windows and Cluster Guru.
I have removed a node from a cluster today due to a problem and am attempting to re-add this node to the cluster without success.
I have rebooted the node several time since my reboot but when I try and re-add the node I am getting the following problems.
Try to Add Node A to the cluster which already includes Node B
During the Analyse Cluster Config
It attempts to connect to Node A and returns The cluster node is down.
Now I assume by this error that the Cluster Service on Node A should be running. Please correct me if my assumption is incorrect.
When I go to Node A I'm unable to start the Cluster Service manually. It fails when checking the System Log I get an error
The Cluster Service depends on the following nonexistent servce: Clusnet
Looking at the DeviceManager I can see the Clus Net Driver on Node B, buts its missing on Node A, presumeable because I originally removed Node A from the cluster.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...I'm what you call stuck.
Thanks in advance
Simon

Re: Deleting and Re-adding
you can try to reinstall the cluster services on node A using the windows add/remove components, but be sure to have a backup

Re: Deleting and Re-adding
My problem was caused by a 3rd party piece of security software. Following my problems this problems also affected many other SQL database/cluster configurations.
