Hi;
One of my DL380 G4 server's is being faluty but the server was connected to the storage via SAN, now how can recovery (step by step procedure) all of my data from storage using DL380 G5 Server. By the way the OS is Windows Server 2003.
Thx

Re: DL 380 G4 server replacing by DL380 G5
Hi,
was the SAN connected to a controllercard put into the G4 (i.e. a PCI-X card) If so did you put that card into the new G5?
If I remember correctly array's in a SAN are connected to an ID of the controllercard. If this is the case the disk would appear automaticly in diskmanagement . You only have to import the disks there.
If I have some spare time I will look a little deeper into it.
Also some more info can be helpfull:
What is the SAN model? and how was it attached? and how will you attach it to the
new server?
