DL140 G2 with Win2003, no network support
The NICs are not recognized by the OS, which is no surprise after having read about the problems trying to upgrade from Win2000 to Win2003.
Unfortunately HP.COM has not posted a solution for people installing Win2003 rather than upgrading to it.
Both of the following drivers are supposed to be supported by DL140 G2:
HP NC61xx/71xx/310x Gigabit Ethernet NIC Driver for Windows Server 2003
HP NC370x Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter Driver for Windows Servers 2003
Reference: http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/networking/us/download/20449.html
However neither one works. After downloading, burning to CD, copying to HDD, and running, an error states that the hardware requirements have not been met.
So NOW WHAT ?????

Agreed to license.
Selected [x] control suite
Successful, go to control panel. Open Broadcom control suite. Then this error message comes up:
"No active Broadcom controllers detected in this system. Do you want to uninstall?" Yes...
So back to square one.

Re: DL140 G2 with Win2003, no network support
When the setup screen shows which feature will be installed, make sure the BASP checkbox is checked along with Control Suite.
---------
Anyhow before we noticed that, we tried Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Devices > Ethernet. Found the NICs and click Update Driver, and used the HP "Server Support CD" and .... it was there! And it worked, and we are live on the net.
