Extend Partition

Hello, everyone, my partition C: is often not enough to use, I want to extend partition, but I don't know how to do. A friend told me that the Partition Assistant is useful.However, I don’t know whether it will cause my data loss. Do you know?

What is you O.S. ?
Is this the only partition on the disk?
Are You using basic or dynamic disks?

On windows systems you can use diskpart to extend an partition. But this wont work if you are using basic disks and there is more then one partition. With basic disks you can only extend the last partition and that usually not c:.

I suggest you download a copy of parted magic (free). I've used this with great succes in the past to shrink my D: drive and add the free space to my c:. This can however take a long time because you need to move the data.
