HP Network Config Utility & Error occured when making a call into the OS

Hi All,

Something wierd happend the other day... no changes that I can see to my server config but now when trying to open the HP network config applet (either from task pad or control panel) then get a pop up message with the following error:

An error occurred when making a call into the Operating System

I un-installed the applet from the Network Control Panel which destroyed my network team; as expected...

I re-installed with the same error, and of course as I cannot run the applet, I cannot re-create the team. Both planar NICs are working fine just now individually.

Has anyone got any ideas. I have tried the usual ways of re-installing the whole support pack (7.70 64bit Windows 2003 Server Enterprise R2) but no joy.

Server just happens to be root CA for org so don't really want to rebuild it.

Screen shot attached if it helps.

Thanks
Alex

Re: HP Network Config Utility & Error occured when making a call into the OS

You don't mention any entries in the system/application eventlogs? maybe you find a is a more helpfull message there.

There is a command-line utility to configure the HP team
cqniccmd /c
where filename contains something like attached xml-file.
maybe this is not influenced by the gui-problem

search for cqniccmd to find
