Hello,I have a HP ML370G5 running on windows 2003 server and used as a DC,but lately each time i switch on it only gets to "applying computer setting" and doesn't go beyond that.It wont log into windows.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: HP PROLIANT ML370G5 SERVER NOT LOGGING UNTO WINDOWS
Hi,
this could be any number of things from stuck processes/services to a bad user profile.
Are you able to logon with any other user account?
Does it start in safe mode (if so the Windows event logs can offer clues to the problem)
Does the server answer to ping from another PC or server?
Are you able to see shares on the server from another PC or server?
It could also be some bad system file like in this example:

Do you have an up-to-date backup, if so then restoring that could be a good idea.
Cheers,
Rune
