Re: Managing Permissions

ViJay:

I do not see why it is not possible to do what you want. If you right click on the folder you want to give permissions to and select properties...Select the security tab and click Advanced.

In the Advanced permissions dialog, click add, type your user names and/or groups and click ok or "check names" to make sure you have the right people/groups (then click ok).

A new dialog pops up with advanced file/folder permissions including all the ones you want to allow/deny.

Re: Managing Permissions

Dear Steven

Thanks for reply.
But I notice that when i give Modify permission to user it found that you can able to delete the file also.

or if i remove the modify permission, user can not able to save the changes in the file.

Please suggest.

Re: Managing Permissions

Is that in the Advanced properties? or the general properties?

in the advanced properties, you can specifically deny deletion permissions... See that attached image.
