MSDTC in win2k3 cluster
I am installing the MC cluster with win2k3EE on two nodes. I plan to install MS exchange & MS SQL in active / passive mode. AS per the document I should be creating a seperate MSDTC group & IP,network name & physical disk resources in it. FOr some reason which I am not able to figure out the MSDTC resource fails to come online.I have also enabled DTC access in add/remove program. But it still fails...
But when I create the MSDTC resource in default cluster_group with Quorum disk & default ip address resource its comming online.
My question is, is it ok if I use this MSDTC resource while installing Exchange & sql in cluster.. or they should have separate MSDTC group each with different resources.

Re: MSDTC in win2k3 cluster
The installation order can be tricky. You should follow the best practice installation instructions strictly.
