Nettelligent 10/100 TX PCI controller on .NET (PL1600)

according to the the .NET documentationt there is an issue with PL1600 and the integrated NIC and it says to see pg 19 but there is nothing there. There are some issues about driver signatures related to NIC. Is this the same thing? If yes then does RC2 fix the issue and let me upgrade the 1600 to .NET

This is addressed in RC2.

Note 9: For optimal performance, download and install CP002768.EXE from

IMPORTANT: The drivers for the network interface controllers reside on the Windows .NET Server 2003 RC2
CD and have undergone testing by Microsoft and HP. The drivers are also on Version 6.10A of the ProLiant
Support Pack for Microsoft Windows .NET.

where do I get the 6.10a support pack. Is it part of the standard distribution for smart start


Thanks for the response. I have installed CP002768 so step 1 done. Just need the drivers and RC2 (too big to download - will wait for MSDN to come out with it)

ok. installed the 2101 part of 6.10a but the compatibility checker stills says it is not compatible.

The netflex/netelligent driver will not be signed for .NET.

We will continue to provide and support them.

Thanks. But the compatibility wizard check will NOT allow me to progress any further without valid drivers. I can not seem to get around this.

Where are you having problems installing the Netflex driver on .NET? Are you trying to do a standard driver install? I just verified that the driver will install on .NET. I installed a Netflex NIC in a machine running the latest version of .NET and allowed the OS to recognize the new NIC. Then the OS searched for a driver and found multiple instances ranging from v5.0.1.18 to v5.0.1.22. The Netflex3.sys v5.0.1.22 was chosen and the install wizard popped up a warning stating that the driver was unsigned and asking if I wished to continue. I answered yes to the continuation and the driver installed fine and was fully recognized by the OS.
