Network Load balancing fails...

Hye.
I'm installing a ML350G3, Win2K3. After installing Veritas Backup Exec 9.0, the system fails to load a service: Network Load balancing (that I don't use).
Does anyone as an idea about it.
Thanks.
Yann.

Re: Network Load balancing fails...

I also had this problem... The interesting thing is that whilst I also dont use this service... It shouldnt be included with my version of Windows Server - I am using W2k3 Standard Edition and NLB should only be included on Enterprise Edition. We also have Backupexec 9.X installed. The answer is to be found at http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/263037.htm.

This describes a registry fix that needs applying. Do it and all is sorted.. :)

Hope this helps

Microsoft Knowledgebase article 833375 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;833375) also contains this answer. Note that Veritas Backup Exec 9.1 still brings up this issue.

Hi
I have the same problem. But it appears, since I installed the last patches of Microsoft. We have also Backup Exec 9.0 installed, but there was never a problem with Network Load Balancing.

Re: Network Load balancing fails...

Try doing the registry fix mentioned above (in my previous post) and it should sort it....
