OSD-04006: ReadFile() failure, unable to read from file

Hi,

We have facing the following error in the alert.log on windows 2003 server.

"O/S-ERROR: (OS 1117) REQUEST COULD NOT BE PERFORMED BECAUSE OF AN I/O DEVICE
OSD-04006: ReadFile() failure, unable to read from file "

The oracle tar says that it is an pure OS/Hardware issue.

Note the drive is an SAN drive.

Whereas the windows administrator says that it is an generic error and there is no issue with OS/SAN.

Can anyone help us how to find the Root cause of this and arrest the same.
