PowerTrust UPS
Does anyone know how to connect a PowerTrust 5.5kva UPS to a Windows box? When the power is out, I want my Windows box to know that. I have the HP supplied cable but the suggested comm parameters (1200-N-8-1) don't seem to work. All I get is a "??" in hyperterminal when a key is pressed. And I doubt I can use the UPS tab in the control panel to communicate with the UPS. This is model number "A3589A" which seems to have no support on HP's website anywhere.

Re: PowerTrust UPS
Hi there.
We have these power supplies on UNIX systems.
To communicate there is a software called
UPS Manager, which allows you to do the settings for the power supply.
I do not know, whether this is available for Windows.
