printer driver unknown event

My Windows 2003 server is saying in it's events log that the printer driver is unknown for my hp printer. The model is hp psc1210xi all-in-one printer, scanner, copier. Somewhere on the hp site I found an application that checks to see if you have the most up to date, best driver. It said that I did. Does anybody know how to make this reporting of printer driver unknown stop happening? Thank you for your help.

Re: printer driver unknown event

Heather,

which driver do you use? I do not see a driver on the HP website for win2k3. Do you use version 2.1.0?

Re: printer driver unknown event

I went to the following URl

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?dlc=en&lc=en&product=90767〈=en&cc=us&os=228

and I am using the HP Full Solution Software Driver. I did not see a driver for windows 2003 server either so I just picked that one. You asked if I use version 2.1.0. I don't know.

Re: printer driver unknown event

Hello Heather,

Can you post the EVENT ID number and the Source name?

Please note that if the driver you installed doesn't support Win2K3, then it's considered digitally unsigned driver which may cause the system to undesireable results to your Server in the future.

You'd better off install the printer in an OS with the supported driver and share it.
