Unattended Windows 2003 after smartstart
Is it possible to run an unattended installation of Windows 2003 using smart start in the beginning? I have a winnt.sif file correctly set up and works when using the Windows disk on systems where smart start is not used. Is it possible to use SmartStart and then when it asks for the Windows Disk to have the part from then on out unattended?

Re: Unattended Windows 2003 after smartstart
Hello Jeff,
Yes, SmartStart stupports unattended installation from a CD using *.sif file.
Refere here:
http://wwss1pro.compaq.com/support/reference_library/viewdocument.asp?source=EA030820_CW01.xml&dt=3
At the end, you'll see some M$KB Articles ID.
Here is one of them:

Note: SmartStart Releases 6.30 And 6.40 Do Not Support Assisted Installation Of French, Italian, Spanish, Or German Versions Of Windows Server 2003
Good luck

Re: Unattended Windows 2003 after smartstart
I have the UNATTEND.TXT file in the \I386 folder along with the winnt.sif file. When I use the server disk with out using the smartstart disk the install is unattended. However, when the SmartStart disk is used first the Windows portion of the setup in not unattended any more. Does the winnt.bat file have to be changed? Do I have to use a floppy for the Windows portion to be unattended?
