Unrecoverable Intermodule Bus error (Error code 0)

I have a DL 380 G3 server with 2x3.00Ghz processors,5x36Gb Hdd's,1.0Gb RAM, and Windows 2000 Server Standard.
The problems appear randomly when the backup process start's, the server reboot unexpectedly and the message in "Logs" in HP Integrated Management Agents is "Unrecoverable Intermodule Bus error (Error code 0)"
I have the latest support packs, firmware, latest Windows patch. For the backup process I have a SDLT 320 tape on SCSI Adapter Dual Channel ULTRA 320.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Unrecoverable Intermodule Bus error (Error code 0)

Hi Mircea,

Since you mentioned that all the support packs, firmware and the Windows patch are updated to the latest, the only resolution I could see in this case is to replace the system board.

Call HP technical support line to get the system board replaced.

Google shows a few other HP/Compaq systems with this error. In all cases found, the error was resolved by replacing the system board. I would go with Ramesh's suggestion.
