Upgrade from Windows 2000 Server to 2003
We have several ML530's with latest ROM. We need to perform in place upgrade to 2003. I was advised some time ago when we upgraded from NT4 to 2000 to run some clean utility that wipes the SSD and all compaq software off the machine. Should we perform this action before attempting the upgrade?

Re: Upgrade from Windows 2000 Server to 2003
Hi,
It is wise to has as less programs on your server as possibel, to make the risk of an upgrade failure as low as possibel, so it makes sence to do so.
But I prefer a clean install, its more stabel.
If you make a upgrade I would make a Ghostimage of the server before upgrading.
Why do you want to upgrade anyway, 2003 doesn't add anything critical (to my knowlidge) But if you like teletubby collers I would upgrade
