NIC Teaming (CPQTEAM): Teaming or un-Teaming trashes all network connections (espec. NBT)
BL20p-G2, W2K3 Standard. NC7781 NICs (embedded) with latest recommended drivers from HP (Q57XP32 ver. 6.64.0 dated 5/21/2003) and CPQTEAM (versions 7.30.730 and, directed by HP, 7.20.720; I was told specifically NOT to use the 7.40.740 by HP):
Configure with ILO connection; after creating Team for fail-on-fault, AKA fault-tolerance, clicked on OK; the "big message box" came up, talking about IP settings; clicked on OK. Server froze; many TCP/IP settings in Registry trashed; NetBIOS over TCP/IP disabled; never able to use NIC connectivity again. FOrced me to rebuild server from scratch. Troubleshooting steps from HP included upgrading NIC drivers, upgrading ILO BIOS, upgrading NIC BIOS, stepping down 1 release on CPQTEAM. All steps produced same failure.
HELP !! I can't be the only person having this same issue, ....can I ???
