upgrading windows 2003 Standard Edition to Enterprise Edition

Hi,

Does anybody have any experience regarding upgrading windows 2003 Standard Edition to Enterprise Edition?
First question is it possible, secondly if yes can you do it on production server, and thirdly and last what are the procedure?

according to this link it is possible

however it does also say
"When upgrading operating systems, a clean install is recommended as best practice."

Hi,
I did this procedure many times, on production servers as well. No problems.
Just run setup from windows 2003 ent CD when you in windows 2003 std.
You need to install win2003 ent with same service pack level - so if you have win2003 std - use windows 2003 CD with sp2
Of course, the first rule of each upgrade: make sure you have good backup.
