It reports only 18mb out of 10Gb free. Trouble is, when you add up the files only 4Gb is used up. I have searched for hidden files, used TreeSize Pro to double check and run chkdsk /f with no luck. Any hints are appreciated

Solutionhttp://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspx
and download rootkitrevealer (under security).
You can also download some of the file and directory based tools to see if there are filesystem problems.

Re: Windows 2k3 reporting wrong free disk space
Make sure Volume Shadow Copy Service is disabled (Right-click the volume , then select Properties to open the configuration window. Click the Shadow Copies tab....)
BTW:
>>We have a Win2k3 server, running on a DL380, with IIS 5.0.
windows 2003 works with IIS 6, not IIS 5

Re: Windows 2k3 reporting wrong free disk space
I think no, if you sure that VSC saved to separate drive.
