Windows Family Comparison Chart
Is there a comprehensive document available comparing all the versions of Windows? (NT/2000/XP/2003). Please help.
Thanks,

Re: Windows Family Comparison Chart
you may like to take a look at this site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/evaluation/whyupgrade/featurecomp.asp
but it does not include win2003 in the comparison.
regards.

Re: Windows Family Comparison Chart
Differences between Windows 2003 Versions: http://download.microsoft.com/documents/australia/partner/win2003/comparison_winserver2003eds.doc
http://download.microsoft.com/documents/australia/partner/win2003/comparison_winserver2003eds.pdf
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/evaluation/features/compareeditions.mspx
Windows 2003 to Windows 2000 Differences: http://download.microsoft.com/documents/australia/partner/win2003/comparisonofwinserver2000to_winserver2003.doc
Differences between Win9x/NT Workstation/Win2K Prof/WinXP Prof: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/evaluation/whyupgrade/featurecomp.asp
Differences between Windows XP Versions: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/howtobuy/choosing2.asp
What exactly I am looking for is one stop doc. that compares all the flavors.
Thanks,

Re: Windows Family Comparison Chart
Have a look at http://switchboard.shopping.com/xSBS-Operating_Systems~PG-1~NCP-4~PRDLT-20312515-20313148-20330324-20707571
No, seriously though, you could try posting here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/community/newsgroups/dgbrowser/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.migration
or here http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/newsgroups/dgbrowser/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.windowsxp.general〈=en&cr=US
Although, I don't find other forums as responsive as the ITRC.
What in particular are you looking for?
I think you won't get a comparison of what you're asking for, since XP is definately a workstation OS and 2003 is definately a server OS. I think you may get a comparison of all workstation OS's or all Server OS's, but not a mixture.
I think the best you'll get is a 2 way comparison.
But good luck.
Regards,
Gary

Re: Windows Family Comparison Chart
Thanks for the links.
In particular I am looking for feature comparisons with respect to Disk/Volume management and also number of CPU/RAM supported.
Even if there is chart for NT/2000 and 2003 it will do for me.
Thanks,
Karthik S S

Re: Windows Family Comparison Chart
I doubt you'll find what you need all in one place but you may be able to create what you want (cut and paste?) using websites such as this as a starting point:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/WinHistoryIntro.mspx
HTH
Make a great day!

Re: Windows Family Comparison Chart
Not had much joy, I'm afraid - I can't believe this sort of information aint out there.
There's some useful information at http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windowsserversystem/windowsserver2003/default.mspx and http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windowsserversystem/serverfamily/default.mspx but not in a tabular form.
